API Versioning
XCROP uses URL-based versioning. The current stable version is v2: all endpoints live under the /api/v2/* base path.

What's New in v2
- New Credit-based pricing: pay per result, not per request
- New Write API: 10 endpoints for tweets, likes, retweets, follows
- New Account connection: connect your X account for write operations
- New Interaction Check: verify retweets, replies, quotes for airdrop/giveaway campaigns
- Improved Cursor-based pagination on all list endpoints
- Improved Consistent JSON response format across all endpoints
- Improved Rate limiting with per-plan tiers and headers
- Changed Authentication now requires API key for all endpoints
Migration from v1 to v2
v1 has been removed. All /api/v1/* routes no longer exist and will return 404 Not Found. Key changes:
1. Base URLDIFF
- GET /api/v1/users/elonmusk + GET /api/v2/users/elonmusk
2. Search: now uses POST instead of GETDIFF
- GET /api/v1/search?q=bitcoin&count=10 + POST /api/v2/search + Body: { "query": "bitcoin", "count": 10 }
3. Pagination: cursor-based (replaces offset)DIFF
- GET /api/v1/users/elonmusk/followers?page=2 + GET /api/v2/users/elonmusk/followers?cursor=abc123

- •New API versions are announced at least 30 days before old versions are deprecated
- •Deprecated versions continue to work for 90 days after deprecation notice
- •Breaking changes are never introduced within a stable version
- •Non-breaking additions (new fields, new endpoints) may be added at any time
