Winner Picker FAQ
Winner Picker FAQ
Can the host re-roll until they like the result?
Every draw is committed on our server before its drand round exists, and the public result page counts the other draws the same host committed for the same post, before and after the published one, plus draws other accounts committed on the same post. A page that says "the host committed 7 draws for this post" tells you something. A host could still collect the post again to get a new list, so the page counts draws, not collections. Re-publishing after a re-roll can only add re-rolls; earlier winners and follow results cannot change.
Why can't I require likes?
X stopped showing who liked a post in 2024. No tool can list likers reliably any more, so Winner Picker uses reposts, quotes and replies.
A winner never claimed the prize. What now?
Use re-roll on that winner. The replacement is the next unused pick of the same sequence, no new random number is drawn, and the re-roll with its reason is shown on the public page and checked by the verifier.
Do I pay again to draw a second time?
No. Credits are charged for collecting entrants. Changing rules, drawing, re-rolling and publishing are free. Within 24 hours of your paid collection, pasting the same post offers a free reopen of that list. Collecting fresh data is a new collection and is charged again. Spent credits are not refunded.
Why did I pay for fewer people than the post shows?
The counters on X include deleted and protected accounts, and someone who reposted and replied is one entrant. The reply counter is usually the furthest off: it also counts replies X hides from everyone as low quality and replies deep inside threads, which X does not show to readers, so they cannot be collected. You pay for the rows we actually returned, never more than the estimate.
Does the follow rule cost extra?
No. Follow checks run only for the picked entrants and are free. You can require up to 5 accounts, the author included, and each account allows 2,000 follow lookups per day.
Where are my previous draws?
At /winner-picker/history, or in the Dashboard under the Winner Picker tab. Each draw has a private page where you can publish, share, re-roll, finish a draw you left before the reveal, and download the winners file again. Wallet addresses are in that file, and you can download it again at any time.
Can someone see my entrants' wallets?
Not from us. The public page shows winners' handles, counts, rules and the proof, plus a CSV of every eligible entrant (account id and handle) so anyone can re-run the draw. Wallet addresses and reply texts stay in your own downloads (our server keeps them privately to re-check the rules and let you download the winners file again; they are never published).
Is there an API for this?
Not yet. Winner Picker is a web tool. If you want to build your own checks, the Interaction Check endpoints verify single users.
